A decision tool, not an AI ideas list

Know what is worth changing before you invest in changing it.

Most businesses do not need more technology for its own sake. They need a clear view of the work consuming their team's time—and an evidence-based way to decide what to improve first.

01

Map the real work

Start with how the process actually runs: frequency, time, hand-offs, exceptions and rework—not how a software demo assumes it runs.

02

Quantify conservatively

Estimate realistic capacity value using agreed assumptions. Cash savings and released capacity are kept distinct, with confidence made visible.

03

Prioritise the next move

Compare opportunity against implementation difficulty, dependencies and risk so the highest-value practical improvements rise to the top.

What you receive

A practical roadmap your team can act on.

The audit is remote, tightly scoped and designed to create a useful decision—not a long consultancy exercise.

  • Discovery and process review

A focused discussion plus review of the agreed workflow information and materials you provide.

  • Consistent opportunity scoring

Every reviewed opportunity is assessed against the same five factors, with difficulty scored separately.

  • Realistic benefit modelling

Hours, capacity value, cost assumptions, confidence and—where appropriate—payback and simple ROI.

  • Prioritised written report

Recommendations, assumptions, dependencies and a clear sequence of practical next steps.

  • Results conversation

A walkthrough of the findings, challenge of the assumptions and time for your questions.

A transparent scoring method

Good ideas are not enough. They need to survive comparison.

Each reviewed process receives an Automation Opportunity Score out of 25. The same five lenses are used every time, so priorities are easier to explain and defend.

02

Repetition

How often does broadly the same work happen?

Complexity, data readiness, integration, governance and change effort stay visible instead of being hidden inside the benefit score. The priority is high opportunity with manageable difficulty.

Designed for growing UK SMEs

Especially useful when a capable team is being slowed down by the work around the work.

Magicka.ai is based in Doncaster and works remotely across the UK. The audit is designed around firms of roughly 10–100 people, particularly those already using Microsoft 365.

Sometimes the right answer is AI. Sometimes it is ordinary automation, better data, or a simpler process. The recommendation follows the work—not the trend.

Founder-led from discovery to results

Practical experience across data, reporting and automation.

Magicka.ai was founded by Richard Armstrong to help smaller businesses make sensible decisions about AI and automation. Richard combines hands-on experience in data quality, Power BI, Microsoft 365, workflow automation and AI adoption.

You speak directly with the person doing the analysis. No junior hand-off, no vendor quota, and no incentive to force AI into a process where it does not belong.

Built for trust

Useful innovation needs sensible boundaries.

Recommendations are designed to support people and accountable decisions—not replace judgement where the risk does not justify it.

Human-reviewed

Important outputs and decisions retain appropriate human ownership.

Data-minimised

Only relevant information is requested; unnecessary personal or sensitive data should be removed.

Value challenged

Benefits use stated assumptions, realistic automatable percentages and visible confidence.

Implementation optional

The audit stands on its own. Any build work is separate and only begins by written agreement.

Client materials are handled under agreed terms and a secure upload process. Please do not send passwords, payment-card data, special-category data or other highly sensitive information unless specifically agreed in writing.

Questions, answered plainly

Before we speak.

If your question is not covered, email Richard directly. The first conversation is simply to decide whether the audit is a good fit.

richard@magicka.ai
Why is the audit £395?

£395 is the founding-client fixed fee while Magicka.ai builds its first cohort of case studies and refines the delivery experience. The scope is agreed before work begins; VAT is added only if legally applicable.

When does the 48-hour turnaround start?

After the discovery session is complete, the information reasonably required for the audit has been received, and the agreed fee has been paid. If the scope or information changes materially, any timetable change is agreed with you.

Do we need to know which process to automate?

No. A rough sense of where repetitive work or coordination is creating friction is enough for the first conversation. Discovery helps define a useful, proportionate scope.

Will you implement the recommendations?

Only if you want that. Implementation is outside the £395 audit, quoted separately and never starts without written agreement. You can also use the roadmap internally or with another provider.

Can the audit guarantee savings?

No. Time, capacity, cost, payback and ROI estimates depend on your data and stated assumptions. The report distinguishes released capacity from genuine cash savings and makes confidence visible.

How is our information handled?

We use data minimisation, access controls, business cloud storage and an approved secure upload route. You will be asked to redact unnecessary personal data and not to send highly sensitive information unless specifically agreed.

Is this only for Microsoft 365 businesses?

No, but teams already using Microsoft 365, Excel, Power Automate, Copilot or Power BI often have practical opportunities that can build on tools they already own.
